What the review flagged (word for word)

What it produced

The short version

A one-page LedgerMate Pro offer (about 250 words) for Australian freelancers, with one Pro feature for each of the three pains, priced at A$9/month.

  • Audience: Australian freelancers who invoice their own clients and wait to be paid.
  • Features: automatic payment reminders, recurring invoices and a tax-time summary.
  • Price stated as A$9/month, in the Price section and again in the closing call to action.
  • Not for: people who send a few one-off invoices a year and always get paid on time.

LedgerMate Pro

Get paid on time, stop re-typing the same invoice, and walk into tax time with the numbers already done.

Who it's for

Australian freelancers who invoice their own clients: designers, developers, writers, consultants, tradies and anyone else who sends invoices and then waits for the money.

The problem

  • Late invoices. You did the work. Now you're chasing payment, and every follow-up email is time you're not billing.
  • Repeat billing. Same client, same retainer, same amount every month, and you still build the invoice from scratch each time.
  • Tax time. Once a year you dig back through twelve months of invoices to work out what you earned and what's still owed.

What Pro adds

FeatureWhat it does for you
Automatic payment remindersOverdue invoices get a polite follow-up without you writing it. You stop chasing, and clients stop "forgetting".
Recurring invoicesSet a regular client up once. LedgerMate Pro sends the invoice on the schedule you choose.
Tax-time summaryYour year's invoicing in one report: what you billed, what was paid and what's outstanding, ready to hand to your accountant.

Price

A$9/month.

Who it's NOT for

If you send a handful of one-off invoices a year and your clients always pay on time, the free version of LedgerMate already covers you. Pro is for freelancers who bill regularly and are tired of chasing.

Upgrade to LedgerMate Pro: A$9/month.

Notes and limits

  • The three features are inferred from the brief's three pains. Check they match what Pro actually ships before you publish.
  • The not-for line points people to 'the free version of LedgerMate'. Change it if there is no free tier.
  • I left out GST/BAS wording on purpose. Add it to the tax-time summary only if the product really handles GST.
  • No trial, cancellation terms or guarantee are mentioned, because the brief didn't specify any.
  • The tradie, designer and developer examples in the audience line are illustrative. Trim them to fit your real users.

A decision it brought back

Decide: monthly only, or also an annual plan

Decisions stay yours. It prepares the options, with the caveats it could not check, and waits.

Monthly Only

Offer a single monthly subscription with no annual commitment.

For

  • Keeps the purchase decision simple.
  • Lowers the upfront cost for new customers.
  • Makes it easier to adjust pricing or packaging as you learn from the launch.

Against

  • Misses customers who prefer to pay once a year.
  • Does not provide the upfront annual revenue of an annual plan.
  • Customers may cancel sooner because there is no longer commitment.

Monthly and Annual

Offer both monthly billing and a discounted annual subscription.

For

  • Gives customers a choice between flexibility and a lower effective price.
  • Can bring in more revenue upfront from annual subscribers.
  • May appeal to customers who already know they want to use LedgerMate Pro long term.

Against

  • Adds pricing and checkout choices to explain and maintain.
  • An annual discount reduces revenue per subscriber compared with twelve full-price monthly payments.
  • Early customers may be wary of committing annually before the product has established trust.

Monthly First

Launch with monthly billing, then add an annual plan after early customer feedback.

For

  • Keeps the initial launch offer simple while preserving the option to add annual billing.
  • Lets you learn whether customers ask for annual payment before building it into the offer.
  • Avoids setting an annual discount before you have more evidence about pricing.

Against

  • Customers who prefer annual billing cannot choose it at launch.
  • You may need to update pricing and checkout after launch.
  • Waiting to offer annual billing could delay upfront revenue from customers who would have chosen it.

Picked on the test account on 11 October 2026: Monthly First — the option it recommended.
